Background of this Chinese painting creation (这幅国画创作背景):

Lately, the painter, Law Yuen heard a bird seemed to sing a sad song from a quite high treetop in his backyard opposite the site. This caused him to recall an event that happened when he was a boy in a village. One day during spring, he woke up and heard a bird sing sad songs, and he was curious to go out to his ancient house backyard. He was surprised to see a cuckoo sit at a branch of rhododendrons that was blooming. Later, he learned that the rhododendron usually blooms when the cuckoo bird is singing, so it is called rhododendron. This past event inspired the artist to create a work of art that combined Chinese calligraphy, poetry, and painting (called “Trinity Art”).​

The painter’s poem: 早起傅來鸟悲歌, 惊见杜鹃花盛开。 (When I got up early, I heard the sad song of bird, and was surprised to see the rhododendron in full bloom.)

最近，画家罗源在他家对面后院的一棵很高的树顶上听到一只鸟儿似乎在唱悲伤的歌。 这让他想起了小时候在村里发生的一件事。 春天的一天，他醒来，听到一只鸟儿唱着悲伤的歌，他很好奇，想去他的古宅后院。 他惊讶地看到一只杜鹃鸟停在盛开的杜鹃花枝上。 后来他了解到，杜鹃花通常在杜鹃鸟鸣叫时开花，所以叫杜鹃花。 这段过去的事件激发了艺术家创作出一件结合中国书法、诗和画的艺术作品（称为“三位一体艺术”）。​
